All Hands Together is a fantastic organisation that helps children overcome developmental delays and different learning abilities.
They have recently launched a playgroup on Monday mornings for children aged up to 36 months, which is designed to help families have meaningful learning experiences together. Make sure you get in touch with the team to find out more!
All Hands Together
Technology vs Play?
With the fantastic advancement of technology today it is no surprise that young children often turn to screen devices for amusement. However, one of the most important aspects of child development is play. A playgroup is a great way to introduce your child to this.
Playgroups benefit a child’s development across all areas: physical, social, emotional, language, cognitive and communication (2012 Australian Early Development Census).
But why ours?
All Hands Together’s parent-accompanied playgroups are developed and run by early childhood professionals. Each session is purposefully designed so the activities are developmentally appropriate for your child. We also differentiate to meet different needs and abilities.
Play is about innocence, wonder and creativity and it only happens when one is truly at ease. Through joyful, healthy play, children begin a true love of learning and prepare for life itself. Playgroups are a great way to foster and encourage this development.
The joint experience with your child at our carefully designed sessions will encourage your child’s development. It is a great way to spend 90 minutes with your child where you are exclusively theirs.
At All Hands Together we model but do not direct or have expectations. Through our multi sensory activities we allow children to explore and learn through play and experiences.
We celebrate each child’s uniqueness and allow them to develop at their own pace. Each one of us is unique because of our experiences and the environment we grow up in.
What’s the science behind it?
All Hands Together subscribes to the principles, practice and outcomes of the approved Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) by Child Australia. The frameworks support our strong belief that pedagogy encompasses a spirit of enquiry about why we do what we do and that learning through play and intentional teaching are key to optimising children’s learning and development.
So what do we actually do?
Come join us for our exciting new term, Book Bugs, and get infected by our literacy madness. We will be singing, dancing, reading, painting and lots more but best of all getting really messy in the process. It is a great way to make memories with your child and teach them how to make sense of the world around them. Our sessions provide an opportunity for your child to grow and develop. It is also a great way to build friendships for both you and your child. Plus the added bonus…. the sessions are super fun!
What do our parents have to say?
“I liked the different activities they prepared, everything was well thought of. We had so much fun!”
“Very good, great energy. Loved painting with ice!”
“It was very engaging, entertaining and allowed me to connect with my child through varied activities.”
So come along and Play. Share. Connect. Grow. with All Hands Together playgroups today.
